if I don't deliver by my due date, will my doctor let me just wait it out or would they have to induce me? do I have a choice? my mother gave birth to my sister and I 2 weeks after our due dates..
it's called an estimated due date because it's a guess that can be off by up to 2 weeks, lol. you can say you don't want to be induced, that you want to wait to see if you will go naturally. I went into labor a month early with my first they stopped it and waited until after my due date to get induced, but I was over the pain by then and just wanted it over with. my second came 4 days late and I'm ready for my third to be here already.
They usually wait a week after. You always have the option of saying no but I think you have to if I hit 42 weeks bc then it's not good you and the baby
@nikjay2015, when my sister was having my niece, they induced her the day after her due date.. I'm wondering if they make you or do we have a choice.. I don't want to be induced lol but I have a feeling I'm going to be late like my Mom was
They usually let you wait up to a week, after that it's an induction. I thought I would've needed to get induced but I ended up having my son the day before my due date
