I am going without epidural for many reasons. I hate needles, I want to actually experience every single pain(I know I sound crazy), I dont want all the side effects that can happen, and I really want to be able to walk as soon as its all over. I really rather not have it fail after going through and getting it also.

the amount of pain I felt was just unbearable that I needed it. there was no question in it but it did cause me back problems

I wanted all natural but I got it to help speed up the process she was stuck at 4cm for the longest but when I got it, I still felt contractions and pain it didn't work for me... It's just up to you, I lasted natural for a whole 24hrs +

I was induced with my daughter 8 years ago. I had an epidural. Honestly when this baby comes, I will get it again. I knew that since day one. I don't give two shits about being able to say I did it without one. I hate pain and I'm not going to suffer thru it bc I want to have that as a notch on my belt. I'm having a baby...that's enough to brag about

i dont really think people go all natural for a " notch on their belt " but im going all natural for the simple fact im having a waterbirth . because its a beautiful thing . i think it doesnt make you any less of a mother if you get an epidural or any more of a mom if you go all natural ! my midwife said everyone has different outlooks on it and at the end of the day you brought a human into this world and its so awesome ! good luck momma !

@talbottgirl , youre not crazy ! i was told i couldnt have kids so if this is a one time deal , i want to feel him come into this world ☺️ plus , i agree with all the problems epidurals can cause . ive heard some horror stories . my mom took no medicine with me except prenatals and once the epidural hit , my heart stopped . my friends have told me horror stories and a lot of them have problems with their backs now sadly .

i wanted to go all natural but i was in labor for 12 hours after 7 hours my contractions became unbareable so i ended up getting the epidural. and its not as bad as i thought, it didnt really hurt it was quick and i was able to walk after it wasnt like everyone says.

If you ask my grandma, she would tell you, you'd be crazy to not get it! 😂 I've never not got it with all 3 of my kids, but I don't wanna get it this time, this is our last and I wanna experience actual labor with that being said, I've told me husband because they will ask you, consistently through labor until you can know longer receive it, if you want it, call it a count down if you please, at 6 or 7 it's either a now or never situation with the epidural, I'm going to go as long as I can without it, depending on pain and my body's health. I'm actually hoping I make it to the hospital already dilated to far to receive it, so I won't give in. Lol but we will see. I've had perfect experiences that would make any women want one, but I've also had 1 horrible experience with the epidural that would make a lot of women turn it down. Lol but truth be told I think it's one of those wait, see and try things for me and most because you really don't know how hard easy, long or fast your labors going too be! But good luck!

I got it just to get some sleep so I'd be able to take a nap and have energy to push, it also helps you dilate faster cause you don't feel most of the pain and don't try to work against it. I got it in time for it to ware off before I began to push so I could do that part naturally. it depends on how labor is for you if you should get it.
