So I called my doctors office asking to get a prescription for nausea medicine, and they told me to take unisom, a sleeping pill....
has anyone else had a nurse say to take that? like, I'm exhausted as it is, I don't wanna take sleeping meds and make me more tired:/ I'm really frustrated, I can't leave my house because I'm running to the bathroom constantly to puke :'/
Vitamin b6 and the doxylamine succinate formula unisom are the main ingredients in s couple prescription nausea meds.
My doctor prescribe zofran to for my nausea it's 4mg and it helps me
I was given zofran and try babies r us for the preggie pops
And the vitafol nano prenatals are seriously smaller than a aspirin. I just take a dha pill with them because they don't have it in them
I had morning sickness, but come to find out, all the iron was making is 10 times worse.
@elliekayy, yeah. Being sleepy sucks. I'm 31 weeks and I still can sleep all day and have zero energy. I never got that burst of energy like they say you get haha 😂 I found out, I was sensitive to iron. And most prenatals have lots of iron in them... My midwife prescribed me vitafol nano and they only have 18mg compared to the OTC ones with 25+ mg. she prescribed them to most of her patients in their first trimester.. Still to this day, if I take another prenatal with more, I feel awful.. So I'd explore that too. They'll just check your iron and make sure it's not to low.. Thankfully I've been able to stay on them.
@lumos.nox, that's the thing, I can't eat anything lol I just throw up damn near everything I eat😭 @klove2016 that's crazy, I just don't wanna be any more tires than I am 😂😂
you can also order them on Amazon. I'm not sure how long it'd take for them to get to you though.
Most nausea medicine they prescribe makes you sleepy. But yeah. It's weird that it works, but it's something to do with the sleepiness helps block the nausea signals in your brain. Something along those lines. Hope you feel better Hun.. It sucks; I was hospitalized with dehydration from throwing up so much. It gets better! Promise!!!
i don't understand why they don't just give you zofran ?
@angelic_clover, I've looked for those at the target, Walgreen's and rite aid and nobody has them:/
@klove2016, I just still think its crazy to take a sleeping pill lol I may try it just to see if it works 😰 @smb_mommy I've tried like four OTC meds lol nothing has worked
they have things called preggie pop drops at target for nausea. 😊
there r over the counter meds you can take. go to walmart but i can't remember the name
You take unisom and b6 together. It actually is the same make up as one anti nausea medicine. However, it only worked a few times for me.. Me taking a dose of Benadryl worked better.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Is it bad that I don't take my prenatals ?! They made me extremely sick at the beginning of my pregnancy and since I'm still throwing everything up I just don't take them 😪
So I just found out that my husband is sleeping with my sister and they are making fun of me.
Omg I need to vent something weird just happened.... I'm scared because I thought it would never happen. I was in a deep sleep dreaming about ice cream and then all of a sudden I'm feeling wet spots on my neck thinking my fiancé's cat was in the room so I brushed it off. What scared me was then I felt something between my legs not bothered by it. Then all of a sudden I wake up to a twinge in my vagina only to see my fiancé is fucking me in my sleep I wake and was like scared. So I don't say noth...
I have never posted before but I am in dire need of some advice. I have been taking meds for over a year to help me sleep at night. As soon as I found out I was expecting I stopped taking my sleep meds, my Dr isn't to happy about it but I'm just not comfortable taking a medication that is considered a "tranquilizer". I can't sleep much anymore and I know it's not good or healthy. Does anyone have advice on what I can do or take to help me sleep at night?
Unisom is super common to take for nausea during pregnancy. But I got prescribed zofran, nothing else helped
