Have any moms on here used the "mini-pill" while breastfeeding? The pill was the only thing that worked for me, I only ever tried the nuvaring and it was awful... I've heard far too many horrible things about the depo, iuds and the one that goes in your arm. My body reacts sensitively to most things and I'm just not willing to use it as a tester for birth control. I don't know what to do after I have this baby, we don't want another one until this one is at least 2. Being celibate is not an option lol.
ohhh..yeaa .. im in the same boat.. my bf and i decided to use condoms after untill im finished breastfeeding.
I can't use the patch even if I wanted to, I'm going to breastfeed... @kyra23
before getting pregnant i was on the patch which was reallllyy good.. i had little to no side affects (everyones different).. Super easy placed it on my bum just change it once weekly.. was able to go about my daily activities
@sarinunez, I'm a corpsman. I work in the medical field. I'm doing my own research but some of the options for military is hormone free
Not a problem! @averysmom8_3_16 I didn't know about it until a few months ago.
@amaperalta03 You're not bothering me! You're one of my fave people on here lol
Im planning on getting the mini pill also, my sisters on it and hasn't had any problems
I'm glad you said that. so you can't take the pill if you're breastfeeding? i @sarinunez I had an abortion my first pregnancy and so the pill worked for me. I never even heard of the mini pill til this post!
Thank you sorry for bugging you lol I want to be prepared cause I refuse to take anything that isn't the pill. I hear too many horror stories
The regular if you aren't breastfeeding, the mini if you are. @amaperalta03
I can't take that I'm breastfeeding. @averysmom8_3_16
@sarinunez, which would you prefer or recommend. Sorry for all the questions
Yes, you're supposed to do the same with the regular pill but if you're late by a few hours it's less likely you'll get pregnant where as with the mini pill they recommend you take it at the same exact time every day.
@sarinunez, the mini pill is the one you have to take at the same time every single day ?
I loved it! I was bad at remembering to take pills when I was first sexually active, but I got back on it when I was 19 and just kept telling myself I wasn't ready for a child and I remembered to take it. It made me periods lighter and my severe cramps went away. @mrs.rcleveland
after my first pregnancy I was on the pill. I was considering nexplanon then I heard all this bad stuff Bout it so pill it is for.me.
There's no estrogen and the normal pill is more forgiving, if you're exclusively breastfeeding and taking it at the same time everyday you're more protected than someone who is taking the mini pill and isn't breastfeeding. @amaperalta03
Do you know the difference between the normal pill and the mini pill ?
I am only open to taking the pill, I don't want to gain weight or get sick. I've heard too many bad things, all I ever experienced from the pill was a little nausea when I first started taking them. I didn't gain weight and my period cramps went away. I wanted advice from someone who took the mini pill.... @kimberlynnn Also, don't be so quick to believe everything your doctor says.
do what u feel comfortable with, i was on the pill before and it was great. so im ganna use the mini pill.....im definitely not recommending the depo or iud
@sarinunez, the ones my Drs provide don't have hormones and there's good and bad with any kind of birth control
I'm doing research on it, there are no other options that I am willing to try. Not worth the risk. @mrs.rcleveland
I don't want an iud though and I'm not really concerned about it affecting my supply, I just don't want to risk putting those things in my body when I've heard so much bad. They do however have hormones in them, it's a very small amount but they aren't hormone free. I would never get the depo. @kimberlynnn
IUDs won't effect your milk production if you plan to breast feed, the pills and depo since those contain hormones will effect how much milk you produce
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
We don't like using condoms at all and I plan on breastfeeding for at least a year, I'm going to use the pill.
