when you get closer to delivery does your cervix move down when it dialates so its easier to check dilation? due to some personal trauma my midwife has agreed not to check my for dialation til I'm in labor and I'm still worried about that

i think it thins?? im due july 4th..i was in l&d and they couldnt get a read of my cervix because it was still thick? Im so new to all of this 😏

Your cervix thins and widens as you progress in labor. @brittlynne sounds like your cervix was still closed and probably still far back, which makes it hard to check.

@mommagotbump16, that was may 24th ..im still having sporadic contractions, so hopefully its helping me dialate some...
