has anyone done a 24 hr urine test? what happened when you did it

thats what were watching out for. but like I said it hasnt gotten worse so we are just monitoring it for now

@twinsmama16, how awesome it wanted twins! but I definitely understand the risks in your pregnancy. I've heard protein in the urine can cause preclampsia that's the only thing going I'm worried about

I had to do it because my 1st pregnancy (shes 18 now) I had hypothermia & this pregnancy Ive had a little protein in my unrine thatcwas about 6 weeks ago. As of right now they as just monitoring me. Mind you mine is a high risk pregnancy only because Im having twins. Just dont over stress. As long as they are watching it you will be able to control it. GOOD LUCK

I've had +3 protein in my urine my whole pregnancy. my doctor was worried but nothing ever came about it

@kschneider6, because I have a bad kidney and because when I left a urine sample they found protein I it

@mo0430, don't worry about it. did they say why theh were doing it?

@kschneider6 I'm nervous there is going to be too much protein in mine

they had me do one at the beginning of my pregnancy to get a baseline protein so if it started going up they would know what was normal for me. basically all you do is collect all your pee for 24 hours except for the first one in the morning (or whenever you start it) then turn it in. you do have to keep it in the fridge fyi. kinda gross.
