Yeah, I know a lot of people wait but I don't see the point unless the baby has health issues. I don't vaccinate so rather expose her and get her immune system nice and strong
@jaxmomma, yeah i know people who go crazy about it too I figured I'll let her be around germs but not anyone who is sick to touch her that's what the doctor said to do.
I know someone who's baby is a month old and she makes you shower and get vaccinated before you can come see the baby. She won't let you wear perfume and if you aren't a family member you can't meet him lol some people take it way overboard haha
I took my baby out right after her 2 day appt but only for a few min. I had to get breast pads but she was in my carrier so no one could touch her. Someone asked me if it was a purse cause she was so tiny lol
I'm a FTM and my baby is 2 weeks old, but I decided that I won't be taking him out in public until he has his first round of vaccines. I'm gonna take him outside on walks and things like that but not actually to the mall or anything til he's vaccinated
the day I got out of the hospital I took her to Walmart for groceries. The whole not taking them out till their a month is a myth it actually builds their immune system just don't pass baby from person to person cause the germs can cause sickness. Whenever you feel ready to take baby out you can. it's all on your preferences
Girl! Don't let ppl kiss her or anything extra. If you keep her from germs she'll always be sick. My daughter was breastfed but it gets that immunity up by going out
@jaxmomma, I was told the same thing an she's 3 days old so I didn't know if she should be in a store or not and wanted to see what other moms did with there babies.
My doctor said to take my baby out whenever we wanted. She said germs are in the air everywhere and as long as you don't let anyone come up and touch them or breathe on them, then you're fine. My sister started taking my nephew out at a week old and he's two years old now and never been sick. It's okay to expose them to things so they can build an immune system 😊 but at the end of the day, it's really your decision 😊
@xxsammi.love, he was born a month and a half early and was in the NICU so when he was released we wanted to make sure he would be safe and away from germs because him getting sick could be deadly. I'm even cautious now where he's almost 4 months old, especially since a case of measles just popped up here and we haven't had that around here in a long time. Babies don't get vaccinated for that till there at least a year old so naturally I'm worried.
@bianca_rose, okay thank you! My nurse said to take her around germs so she gets use to them an not to keep her away from them. I just wanted to know what other moms did.☺️ she's 3 days old an I was going to go to the store.
@sarahemccormick, was there a reason you waited so long or is that just when you felt good about it? The nurse told me I could soon as I came home an was good for her to be around germs to build her up I just wanted other moms thoughts on it.
