I need to know as much about c- sections as possible. I will be requesting a scheduled c- section with this baby ( yes it's medically necessary im not giving that info on here tho) I'm scared about it and i know literally nothing about c- sections...
My pain that tolerance is higher than probably everyone's and that shit was the worst experience of my life so it definitely not dependent on ur pain tolerance lol
My induced birth turned to a c section. I had already gotten the epidural which wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. You really don't feel anything during the actual surgery. They make sure that you're totally numb. It's the after that's painful. As @zaysmomma said. Be really careful with coughing and sneezing. It's really painful for a while. Getting about of bed and Standing up was hard for me for a few days. Find out if they give you a belly shaper at the hospital (mine did). I lived in that thing for a good month. Only took it off to shower. It really makes a big difference. I heal pretty quickly so I was up and moving like normal within a week. I went back to part time work at 4 weeks.
I have had two previous c-sections and I have one scheduled for June 20 and I always get a spinal with morphine and the insert a cathedral inside your vagina but that's after u have had your numbing medicine like a epidural or spinal and my surgery usually last like 30-45 minutes then I was back in my room and give pain medication if I needed them which I didn't and I had the things on my legs to keep your blood circulation going until u can get up and walk...and they are not as bad as ppl make them seem I am a witness to that but everyone pain tolerance is different and you can choose someone to be in the operating room with you so u can be comfortable
I had an emergency c- section two weeks ago. they tired doing the spinal tap but it failed so they put me under. they gave me pain medication thru my iv that I honestly wasn't on pain, I was jus really sore.
Try not to couch or sneeze. That is what will kill u 😩 if you need too squeeze and pillow to ur stomach, it helps a little
Oh I guess u do get an epidural. Idk lol I had already received it then went into and emergency c
I promise they will make sure your numb lol. The actually c section doesn't hurt but recovery was hell for me. Some people say it's not but I couldn't even wipe my ass and shower myself for week. I had to have my mom do it and dress me. I regret my epidural for my son because it stopped my labor but if your getting a c section they give u different medicine!
I had a scheduled c section on May 4. My water broke when I was 38 weeks. You are in pain after the surgery. The epidural stings and burns. I was scared of the epidural too so I understand. The pain after is intense but I was on medication and walking and drinking lots of water helped me a lot. It is major surgery so it's normal to be afraid.
pretty much the basics i guess. what happens? does it actually hurt at all? I'm also terrified of getting an epidural..i didn't have one with my first child...also how much pain are you in afterwards?
I had an emergency c section. after being stuck at 8 centimeters for 6 hours it was a relief. recovery the first week was serious but I feel almost 90 percent better after 3 weeks.it depends on you and how u handle it. people said they couldn't tell i had a c section I was up and walking... but it did hurt. it was hard to get up out of bed, hard to nurse my baby, hard to shower and lower myself onto the toilet, and sometimes I would be peeing and not even know it. also taking care of the incision is annoying because it has to be cleaned and dried really good and if u have extra skin it can be a task. hopefully u have a good support system to help it's almost impossible to do that recovery alone.
