I always watch HGTV shows and it blows my mind how inexpensive Texas is! When I lived in Southern California, i was paying $1400 for a one bedroom apartment. No washer/dryer. Now I'm in Northern California paying $1495 for a 3 bedroom house. This is like heaven for me! Haha.

@jennatess, depending on where you are I'm in western Texas where the oil boom hit and I pay 1100$ for a shitty 1 bedroom apartment but houses here are cheaper than the apartments

that's crazy prices. here in Missouri a 2 bedroom apartment runs about 350 and up sometimes cheaper. a house is usually around 450 and up. in my town a 3 bedroom duplex is around 550 but they are all super nice.

@ashsloan, there's apartments here in town that are 2 bed in 800s and there all bills paid

@mommyof2016, there wasn't when I started leasing, plus I make way too much for income based apartments. I started leasing when the oil boom was still happening therefore I get to pay 1100 until my lease is up, because that's what my complex was charging a year and a half ago, now they're charging 750. But I'm buying a house once this lease is up. which is a lot cheaper than Renting anyway
