Mommy's who had Pitocin. How long was labor for you after receiving it? Also did you get pain meds…

I got the pitocin on a Tuesday and it didn't work so they put the little pill inside the my cervix to open but didn't work so I had my water broken Wednesday night and after 2 hours I was contracting ( back labor) and gave birth 12:58 am Thursday.

I had pitocin from the moment they checked me in at the hospital, and my labor was 12 hours and 21 minutes long from when my water broke at home to when my son was born. I did get an epidural, my pain was like a 6 before I got it. my epidural faded on one side of my body before I had to push, and it hurt like hell, but I would do it all again lol. my labor sped up once I had the pain meds and was able to relax some. you never can tell how it's going to effect you, and you hardly ever hear anything but bad stories about pitocin.

I've had it with both of pregnancies the first one was horrible and in labor for forever not really only (12hrs) but got the epidural and was amazing!!! The second one my labor went really fast(5hrs) got the epidural and it didn't work they missed and hit a nerve so I felt everything. But it wasn't as bad as I thought. Going to have it again with this pregnancy also!

i had pitocin as well from the moment I got to the hospital after my water broke was in labor for 13 hours it hurt like hell I had no epidural but it was so worth it!

From the time they started the pitocin to the time I delivered as about 5.5-6 hr. Ended up with an epidural that wasn't fully effective too 😒 I think mine went quicker because they cranked up the med after I got my epidural, thinking I'd be able to handle the pain after...oops lol? How are you doing now?
