Urine test, blood test, weight, talk with midwife/ob about what to expect and any questions you have, vaginal & breast exam, pap if you haven't had a recent one, listen for heartbeat (but don't freak if you don't hear it. I was 11 weeks but couldn't hear it), probably an ultrasound to confirm (esp if uterus feels smaller or larger than expected or can't hear heartbeat). If they do schedule you for a later u/s don't be too disappointed. I was when I had to wait until 11 weeks but I was so happy with my first u/s because I could see so much development at that point. And my baby was moving like crazy :)
I'm considered a high risk pregnancy so I'm hoping that will encourage them to perform an ultrasound.
Correct, & I called to make an appointment they basically just confirmed I was took my pressure, weight and checked my bladder, I met my doctor and he said it was too soon for an ultrasound, so he scheduled it for 12 weeks
I had ultrasounds from 5weeks all the way to 17weeks when we found out the gender. Other than that they just done weight, urine sample and blood pressure.
I found out at 8 weeks they just checked my bladder, pressure weight and scheduled me for a 12-14 week ultrasound.
I had my 8 week visit today. They go over family history, take lots of blood (between 4-7 veils), and of you're high risk they will probably do an ultra sound.
