Is losing the mucus plug "progress"? I've been 1 cm for 3 weeks, next appt is tomorrow so idk if they'll be any change yet or not but I've been losing parts of the mucus plug every morning for a week

that was at like 38 weeks it was a couple days before my 39w appt.. I didn't go into labor until 41w

I lost my mucous plug and wasn't dilated at all and my cervix was still high

Yup, it's an indication that things are moving in the right direction, also meaning your cervix could be dilating more  :)

for some it is, for some its not. Just depends.  when i lost mine i had my son the next day but some people will lose theirs and still be pregnant for a few more weeks.
