They check for down syndrome and other genetic problems

They measure baby, check for abnormalities.

During mine she checked every bone in his body.. Measured his bones and his skull, measured his heart rate, basically check him from head to toe to make sure he looks healthy

They measure the bones, and appendages. They look at the organs (heart, brain, kidneys etc), the check the spinal cord, the placenta and the umbilical cord. Among other things

things like make sure your baby has all four heart chambers make sure the kindneys are both there check liver size things like that measuring all organs to make sure baby is growing normal

Okay, thank you (: @brebre_83 @darianweaver None of the midwives that I've seen (except the very first one) have been very informative... I just like to know what to expect when I'm going into an appointment.

They'll check EVERYTHING they can. I had to go back 2 weeks later because my little man wouldn't show us his face! Start asking what the next appointment will bring. They should be telling you if you want to know!

im starting to think im the only person that doesnt have a problem with my midwife . i love her ! she doesnt let me leave until all questions are answered and my next appt is discussed . but my son wouldnt turn over or show his face so i had to go back in for another one !

@princesssskxo, I really loved the first midwife I saw! But I wanted to meet as many as I could so I knew who would be in the delivery room with me. But we're an hour and a half away in about three weeks so I'll have to go to a completely different hospital anyway. And I would love if I had to go back in, honestly! Lol I'll take as many ultrasounds as I can get. We've only gotten one so far.

i had three and im done with them unless something is wrong so im very thankful but i love seeing him move around in there ! id just bug them with questions honestly so you dont worry and whatnot ! im really surprised they dont discuss your next appt with you . i thought they had to 😅

Hahah, awh. Sounds like you're gonna have a little turd on your hands! We've only had one ultrasound so far and he/she was flipping all over the place and wouldn't stay still. I hope they corporate so we can at least see if it's a boy or a girl! @candidbabex
