I've had two and yes, both times. they numb the area, cut it open, drain it and stuff it with gauze. they usually have you come back in a couple days to get the gauze removed.

the numbing medicine hurt a little, kind of like a long stinging sensation. . . you don't feel the cutting though @hennessy97
