After I submitted my recent post I got to thinking why moms are constantly dealing with judgment from others. I thought how nice it could be to alleviate judgment from others and that motherhood would be rainbows and butterflies!! Lol well that fantasy quickly came to end! I realized we are judged from the moment we become pregnant! Seriously, it starts with what you eat or don't eat. Are you taking prenatal vitamins? Are you refraining from strenuous activities? Are you really going to have that occasional glass of red wine? Oh and then this super popular one, natural or medicated birth?? Omg the list goes on... And then you have the baby and it's all about how you feed them and what you feed them... Are they co sleeping? Are the sleeping on their back or their stomachs? Are you vaccinating? Are you giving your child all organic foods? You constantly have to deal with family, friends, lady in the market, their opinions and how they did it when they had kids. It's just seriously too much sometimes. I don't understand it because I'm sure parents know what it's like to have their parenting skills questioned, so why are you putting your opinions and beliefs on me? I guess I just need to accept the fact that it's never going to end. My babies are 3 months and 17 months and I have a feeling these problems I experience now are just going to evolve into different problems. I know I do my best to consciously decide if what I'm about to say to a new parent is going to come across as a test, so please let's all me mindful when we begin to question why other parents are doing things differently. OK, I think my rant is officially over!
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
GENDER POST! ??????
Alright mommas for everyone whose going to be finding out gender sometime in November or later..lets get a post going and keep each other updated. And for everyone who has already found out post below what you thought you were going to have and what you are actually having! ?
Locking your doors
We are having a discussion on one of my birth boards from my older kids about locking doors and security alarms. There are many of us (me included) who do not lock our doors at home (I actually don't even have a deadbolt on my house and we don't lock it when we leave either), and others who think that's totally weird. So what do you do? Do you lock your doors? Do you think it's weird that people don't?
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Question 🙋🏽♀️: what age do you allow your kids to have a cell phone?
My son wants a phone and I don’t know why lol. I’m like you have a iPad for games and anyone you need to call you can have my phone.
