Try swaddling at night. It really helped soothe my baby for those first few weeks. I swear it works wonders'
Well even now I still let my baby sleep as much as he wants during the day. But when he was about 5 days old, I started to swaddle him for bed and then make our room dark and put a white noise machine on and rock him and put him to bed. He would fight, trust me. It was tough but I have done it every night. Now that I can give him baths. Our routine is around 8:30-9 he gets a bath, I feed him and then I swaddle him for bed and he sleeps all night or wakes up about once or twice to eat then back to sleep. You just have to keep with your routine, whatever you want to do to put him to bed.

Try and get baby on a routine for bed. My son has been sleeping at night since he was a week old and now he's 9 weeks and sleeps through the night.
