3 days until my appointment will they try to figure out if I'm having a boy or a girl I'll be 13 weeks 6 days the day of my appointment.
So when is your last appointment?? Like I don't remember how that works plus had my son 2 weeks early.. (7years ago) I go for my next appointment on Wednesday the 27th and I'll be 39 weeks 4 days that day. My due date is July 30th... So how does that work is this my last appointment? Do they talk about induction? Or sweeping of membrane? Etc?...

so I have my first actual doctors appointment when I'm 15 weeks 2 days. I'm currently 14 weeks 4 days. my mom said it'll probably just be questions and a Pap smear. but my grandmother told me after you're so far along they can't do that to me. I've looked into it online but didn't really find anything. says they do it in your first appointment but day different for second trimester appointments. and ideas on what is actually gonna happen?
hi ladies. I have my first midwife appointment on 26th of august, ill be 8 weeks on the day, and wondering what happens at that appointment, id like to know if they take bloods on that day. Im scared of needles 😵xxx
You couldn't find a babysitter?! Mommas, do you take your kids with you to run errands and go to mundane appointments? On two separate occasions, a doctors appointment for me and today at a car service appointment, someone has remarked "you couldn't find a babysitter?!" It never crossed my mind to find a babysitter. I take my 2 kids with me just about everywhere. They are well behaved (minus the occasional 3 year old meltdown) and one of them is attached to my boob the majority of the time anyway. Am I the only one? Is that a weird thing to do? Do most moms find babysitters?

@kpaul21, I didn't plan on buying clothes or anything this early on little things that I didn't need to know the sex for like all white onesies or soap and wipes , little things of that nature maybe bottles but not too much stuff

Whatever you tell them, I would not go out and start buying things. That's still too early to be 100% positive on the sex. Wait like three more weeks and then it'll be a little clearer, and the tech will be able to tell you for sure.

it was my first doctors appt because I found out that I was pregnant late..so no I didn't ask.. and I didn't buy any boy stuff thank God lol..but my ex's family was excited and started buying me clothes that we're neutral but more on the boy side..

Well yeah they won't tell you if they're not sure & yes I paid $80 for the second cause it was a boutique

at 13 weeks my doctor swore I was having a boy... I got a anatomical ultrasound at 22 weeks..and the lady told me I was having a girl.

The tech at my Drs office checked without me asking and I was 13w6d also :) it was a little hard for her to tell but I knew it was a boy lol I went to a ultrasound boutique and had it confirmed a few days later at 14w3d

I found out at 12 weeks from informaseq blood test and it was confirmed again at our ultrasound at 18 weeks

@mechelle444, ask them to give you a guess. I went in at 13 weeks 1 day and she said she was pretty sure I was having a girl but not to go buy a bunch of stuff just yet. I went and got a private ultrasound at 15 weeks and they confirmed that I'm having a little girl! It doesn't hurt to ask!

@ashley07, really dang I've seen people on here getting told what they're having and you can tell the difference early as 14 weeks

No before 16 weeks it's to hard to tell because at that point they look similar but they can look

wow your lucky I got my 1st ultrasound at 12 weeks and the gender/anatomy scan at 20 weeks
