I didn't tear during birth and was wondering how long I would have to wait to go swimming or have sex?

I was told submersion, whether baths or pools wouldn't be a good idea before 6wks. But especially a pool, they're full of chlorine, other chemicals, and all sorts of germs that could give you an infection. Your own tub would probably be okay if you clean it first, but I would not risk a pool. I didn't tear either and was told this. Same for sex. They recommend it for both the risk of infection, and the risk of getting pregnant easily due to high fertility after birth.

I had an episiotomy but only wait three weeks.

it's until you stop bleeding really. the general wait time is 6 weeks but if you feel your ready now ask your doctor. my midwife said I was free to do anything after 4 weeks since I healed fast
