we have both and have used both for my daughter she liked the rock n play better but we changed to using the bassinet cuz she's going to daycare soon and all they have is cribs

my daughter took to the rock n play right away but it took some adjusting for her to get used to the bassinet

Okay makes since, you couldn't take the rock and play with you?

I don't see why I couldn't but she'll be moving to a crib soon at home anyways cuz there's a weight limit on the rock n play so i wanted her to get used to sleeping flat on her back

Okay that's what I would think as well with the transition to a crib also! So either one pretty much, but you needing to make two transitions now also, okay got it @belles_mom422! Thanks for your input!

Yes and she won't stay in the bassinet at all. I think it's the shape of it. The bassinet is flat where the rock n play is curved and snug.

But what about the transition to the crib, being that's flat?

Rock and plays are amazing but try to allow some naps in a pack and play or crib! It took my son until he was about 8-9 months to finally sleep in his crib and it was very hard! But for the younger months I definitely recommend the Rock and play, I took it everywhere!

No! Well I have a pack and play with an attachment for a bassinet but I've never used it

Rock n play! My daughter loves it and is nice cause it's inclined a little and it helped with her spitting up.
