I hated mine. It was the most uncomfortable not really painful but odd feeling procedure. I didn't want it but my dr and nurses talked me into it because of my twins. But that was just my experience.
I had it with my daughter and my son, it didn't hurt at all it just felt like i was getting a shot. And well worth it. I still got it in my back I never heard of getting it in the IV though. That's interesting.
I wouldn't say it hurt as much as it shocked me because I couldn't see it coming so I got scared once it went in. but I'm a huge baby and any pain I screamed for the epidural

Wouldn't imagine it too ... I'm not sure out there but but here (Vegas) they don't put epidural in ur back anymore they put it in ur iv
