Not always true I was due on Christmas with my first and I had talk to her about not wanting to go into labor on Christmas or be in the hospital on Christmas and we had sent an induction date of December 22. yes they can my dr induce me at 39 weeks with no problem because she was leaving to another state && I wanted her to be my dr
