Can some mama's share their labor stories with an epidural . I am going to try to go natural but my Dr thinks my body has been through to much and is tired .
I got the epidural and had my daughter 38 minutes later I went from being dilated to a 2 to a 10 and her crowning and out in that time. yes my back is paying for it now but I also had my daughter less then 72 hours ago. I have really bad hip and back problems so the epidural was worth it
I went all natural with my first 2 babies. I hope to go natural with #3. But if the pain gets to where I can't handle it I'm not opposed to saying I need some relief. But I want to be the one to say that I can't handle it anymore. I don't want anyone telling me that I need to get it. Don't be afraid to give in if you need to. We women are strong buy sometimes we need to admit we need help.
i just had an epidural yesterday and it was the smartest thing i did!!!...got me through the whole thing...but it wore off once i started to push..but it was amazing
@tay your baby is just a few weeks you'll know later on if you get back pain. or not
well hopefully you don't get back pain and don't get me wrong it did work on me but once it wore off the pain sucked..
everyone's body reacts different. the epidural worked wonders for me after having contractions for 3 days it was well worth it. I know quite a few people who have gotten the epidural and have never had back problems. and then others who have everyone's different. @ktwins188
yeah epidural is amazing but later on it fucks with your back, I honestly regret getting it!! I didn't have it while I pushed my twins they said no because you'll be numb and won't be able to holds your legs pfft I only had it for contractions and that shit just last for like an hr or two still had painful ass contractions felt everything. now my twins are six months and I just started getting this awful stinging stabbing pain in my lower back , there's times I get it when I'm picked up my daughter from her swing and I go stiff it hurts so bad to move stand or walk it once took my five mins to get my won bottle when I got it, never again will I get epidural no matter how much pain I'm In..
No you'll feel a little pressure and stinging but trust me if you can't handle a lot of pain getting the epidural is the best thing to do you wont feel a thing @addisonsmommy2016
@twins1987, I'm mainly nervous about the numbing shot does that part hurt a lot
I wanted to go natural without one but as my labor was progressing and I was about 2cm I was hurting soooooo bad. My contractions were like 2 minutes apart and they were really big contractions. They were making me cry and yell so loud that my nurses heard me in the hall and they weren't gonna give me an epidural until I was atleast 4cm but they gave it to me at 3 and I swear to you, after I got that epidural I was able to get so much sleep before I got fully dilated and it was great. It's had to of been one of the smartest choices I made. And pushing was super easy and I didn't feel anything.
