@killxj0y, Pump an then give it to him or try in about 5 him but make sure he's in a comfortable position

I have a close friend who went through the same thing. What she did was supplement with 2 to 3 ozs of formula. She breastfed first, and then formula. Since the formula is a heavier solution it keeps them more stuffed and helps them sleep better.

I've been doing what @pilypilypily mentioned. During the day she eats hourly and runs me dry. I use instant formula meant for supplementing usually before bed. She's happier and sleeps 3 hour stretches throughout the night

Have you visited a free lactation consultant? Also, his 1st dr. appt they will be able to determine if he is not getting enough by checking his weight and other things so don't get discouraged and dont start supplementing until they say you have to. Consult your pediatrician 1st.

My baby did the same thing for the first couple weeks. She was gaining and had plenty of wet diapers so I knew she was getting milk. I swear I fed her for like 5 hours straight one night.

@kaylynx3, yeah I'm really not interested in supplementing unless it's totally necessary, my son was sleeping 2-3 hour stretches too it's just the last few days. But thank you!

@mrsrobinson, only when I was initially in the hospital and yes at his appointment they also looked at my latch they said it was good.. And I keep a diaper log so no problems there. @babyg407 that gives me some peace of mind lol thank you both
