I didn't. but labor is unpredictable and so I was prepared to be flexible with how things went. I wanted to go natural with little or no pain meds....but my labor lasted 4 days. I needed medication to keep my shit together. I also wasn't planning on being induced but day 3 I developed severe preclamscia so I was induced. Also didn't plan on having so much pain even though I had a epidural I could still feel everything. 15 hrs after induction my baby girl was born healthy at 35 weeks
@babizehm16, @jellybeanmommy_2016 I just don't know if it's to late for me to sign up for one. I think it would calm my anxiety down and know what to expect but on the other hand I don't wanna know cause it will make me dread it even more. Did the doctors or whoever coach you through it?!
my nurses were amazing. I had my mom and hubby there. and my in laws stopped by during the process to rub my feet. brush my hair and provided some background noise. the drs were ok. I hated I couldn't have my Dr and midwife but they were off duty when I was in labor. classes will pretty much teach you calming techinques. having a focal point. breathing so you don't hyperventilate. You Tube was my classroom since childbirth classes were during the times I worked
I didn't take any kind of classes at all, and my labor and birth went just fine(: my nurses were amazing and so was my dr when it was time for him to come in. I feel like a birthing class would have been a waste of money & time for us .

smooth like butter. I was induced at 39 weeks 3 days. labor lasted 16 hours but I'm pretty sure that's only because of the pitocin.

yes, all of my nurses supported me like family. if a birthing class is what you need then it's never to late to sign up.
