Anyone get on birth control after having there baby an was still able to have more kids once you got off of it? I would like more kids just not anytime soon so I wanted to get on birth control to just be extra careful but I'm worried that when the time comes an I get off of it I won't be able to get pregnant again.
@soontobemomof4, I was super iffy about anything other then the pill so I think I'll give it a try. Thank you your comment was super helpful.
I honestly suggest (this is coming from someone who's been on almost all of the different types of BC except the IUDs) the pill if your wanting more later on in life. I had no problems getting pregnant after stopping the pills, but the shot it took 2 years for us to get pregnant. The way I think about it is, do your research good, cause a lot of the newer BC exp the IUDs and shots "can" cause infertility, so if you are for sure your gonna want another child, I wouldn't touch anything that "could" permanently mess you up. But that's just my personal opinion, I've heard a lot of bad and good about the IUDs and implants, but then I've heard nothing bad about the pill, if you get what I mean!. Lol good luck!! :)
I got pregnant after missing 3 pills with my first and then my second I got pregnant the month after I got my Nexplanon taken out, which is the same hormones as the depo!
I was on the pill for 5 years, and I got pregnant 2 months after going off of it. I plan on getting an iud this time, cause it is made for women who have given birth.
@xxsammi.love, I understand! The depo is another that can take awhile also but I had the paragaurd for about 3 years, took it out and got pregnant right away! it's because it doesn't have all those extra hormones in it!
@mom_004, thank you! I just get freaked out using stuff I'm so worried it might cause problems I have heard so many story's.
I had a hard time after mirana as well, if you want an IUD type, go with the paragaurd! I had mine out Oct 30th, got pregnant November 11th, and now I'll be 31 weeks tomorrow!
@ebersteinmommy, @msvanessa27 @joy-layneemarie-8.16.16 @ashsmith91 thank you! I heard a lot of people can't get pregnant after taking birth control I was on it before in highschool for like two months but hardly took it. So I was worried if I got on it for awhile that I might have a hard time getting pregnant again and I don't plan on having another for at least another 4 years from now. I just always hear bad things about birth control causing problems.
I had implanon for 3.5 years. removed it because the end is 3 years, and just did pull out method for a year and when we decided to ttc it only took one month trying.
I had the mirena for 4 years. Took me 2 years to get pregnant after I got it out!
i got on depo rt after my 1st son and was on it for 6 yrs and came off for a month n got pregnant I've heard such horror stories of ppl not being able to conceive after being on it but ig everyone is different
No problem! Glad I could help:)
