is it normal for a one week old to have yellow crusties around his eyes?? I can't tell if it's a cold or allergies. he's not rly showing other symptoms other than not eating his normal amt and sleeping a lot.

Also he said it's a reflection of how they eat! It can become clogged because he gets a lot of fluids. So it's actually a good thing! Means he's eating good!

It's quite normal my son had a blocked tear duct and my doctor said it should open up most likely on its own between 4-6 months but ur suppose to get a hot wash cloth and massage the inner part of his eye/nose. It's kinda like sleep buggies but if it isn't better by a year old they can do "surgery" but it's just sticking a super tiny needle in the inside corner of their eye. My son will be three months next week and it's almost completely gone!
