My mom keeps telling me that she hopes I have another boy otherwise I would have to get a 3 bedroom place. Everything I have read says there is no law against brothers and sisters sharing a room as long as they are both comfortable with it. Is it true that there is no law? My cousin is insisting that someone she knows got arrested for their son and daughter sharing a room. Please help!

Never heard of such a thing. But there should be a certain age where I wouldn't let them share a room if I had a boy & girl. @sidanddelos15

My brother and I shared a room with bunk beds until I was 6 and he was 8. We loved it. (Yes that was a long time ago) but you are the mom, you can do what you want

There will be an age as soon as we will be able to afford a bigger place if we have a daughter this time. I think Kindergarten would be a good time so like @rainbowbaby2015 said at about 5 years old. But if we can't financially do it, could we get in trouble for them sharing?

I don't think so. I would just have them change in different rooms. That's what "the law" is more concerned about

Someone please cite this law because it sounds like absolute bs.

I do believe there is an age limit but I don't think it's until like 3?

In my state by the time the oldest child is 5 years old they have to have their own bedrooms if they are the opposite sex. So when my daughter turns 5 they have to have separate rooms or I can get into trouble.

thank you @alivewithyou I've been looking everywhere for the past 30 minutes and I cannot find one single thing about there being a law about this.

В ожидании первенца

This probably sounds strange but I shared a room for a few months with my brother and sister. I shared a day bed with my sister and our brother slept on the opposite wall on a twin bed. He just changed in the restroom and me & my sis changed in the room. He was probably 15, I was 13 and my sis was 10

I shared a room with my brother when I was little, probably until I was like 6 or 7. I don't really think it's too big of a deal when they're little. I've never heard of this supposed law but I guess it could be true lol

Again everyone saying you will get in trouble for it, where is this stated? I have read that there is no legal age limit. I want actual proof to make sure.
