I'm just. Scared my. Son will get. Sick. If I had him out.

I took my daughter to the store the day I left the hospital. I put a blanket over her car seat before getting out if the car and when she got in the store I took it off. I was only in the store for maybe 20 minutes because I had a horrible migraine but yeah. we went to the store at least 3 times a week plus doctor appts for her and me. she 4 weeks and didn't get sick

the birth class I took, a pediatrician was there to discuss that it is highly recommended for the baby to stay at home for the 1st 2 months of his/her life. Because of germs and everyone wants to touch your baby. Also, if someone is sick such as the flu the baby can catch it and unfortunately can develop into other things. He gave us an example of a child being sick around the baby just a normal cold and the baby was diagnosed with meningitis, developed asthma, and had lung problems for the some weeks. He's been in practice for 30 years. Anyway, at first I was skeptical and thought how bad can it possibly be I'm sure Baby will be ok to leave our house after the first week or so. But after listening to what he said I got me worried and I'll be staying in doors for the first 2 months. But of course everyone thinks different. I am just telling you what a pediatrician advised. :) Blessings. (sorry so long comment)

I took mine out within the first wk.. my kids (3) rarely get sick...bt you r mom so it's up to what makes you feel comfortable..n other ppl should understand hey you hve a newborn so dnt touch!!!Lol... Oh n I seen the signs online tht say wash your hands before you touch me!! tht you can put on the car seat!!

I have this sign from buy buy baby but they also have it at babies r us and I took my daughter to sizzler the day we got out of the hospital at 3 days old and we go out almost every day she hasn't gotten sick and people don't try to touch her they just ask to see her at first I had her covered in the car seat but she hates that so usually I wear her in her carrier
