it's perfectly safe hun I've had mine done twice by my hairdresser who won't do my hair a certain way while I'm pregnant because she's not insured for it and it could potentially harm the baby, so she wouldn't do my nails if it wasn't safe. don't worry xx

Aw brilliant thank you. I had my hair dyed a couple of weeks ago before finding out I was pregnant. I've heard it's not safe though since. Won't be able to go 7 more months without my roots doing though lol xx

I had my hair done already and going again in 4 weeks. It's absolutely fine. it used to be in the past nowadays it's much safer. everyone from my family has a hair done when pregnant. so don't worry about the hair @staci2926

I was told by my midwife that both getting your nails and hair done is fine but when all the strong smells of ammonia and stuff get to much just step outside for a few moments xx

@staci2926, hey Hun I'm 30 weeks and I get my nails done on a regular basis I just try to go when it's not to busy and sometimes the smell makes me feel a bit sick since being pregnant and as for your hair in a hairdresser and the only thing I advise is that you have it done or do your hair in a well ventilated room as the chemical smell can make some pregnant women sick or dizzy xxx
