That's so sad :-( how were the doctors at fault? Whooping cough is absolutely deadly. When you have children of your own and hear news like yours or anyone else's it actually heartbreaking as you just picture your own. I really am truly sorry @jod1303 xx
@suzie31, i had to be for my other son it was his twin that passed. my other son was in hospital with whooping cough for a month also. would never wish losing a child on anyone honestly the pain its unbearable 😣 xx
@jod1303, It literally makes me so so sad hearing things like that. Your so strong x And damn right if there at fault, justice will be done. xx
@suzie31, worse thing in my life but cant change it. down to the hospital and doctors but hopefully justice will get done xx
@jod1303, I'm so sorry to read that hun 😦 can't even begin to imagine xxx
i had mine tues and im 39 weeks. u can even have it during labour as it will protect u and if u are protected its less likely baby will get it if u r exposed. the 28-32 weeks is the recommended time to have it but my midwife said as long as uve had it at some point after 28 weeks it should work x
I have a leaflet here in front of me and it says best time to get it done is between 28-32 week's but you can have it upto 38 week's if you missed recommended time... I had it with my last & will be booking it in this time around xx
Mine is booked in for next week and I will be 34 weeks, midwife told me the cut off is 36 weeks. You should book it asap x
I'm sure the cut off point it 36 weeks :S I read a post off another woman a while back who had, had the same issues and hadn't been informed about it. I would ring your gp surgery asap. It's definitely a must xx
my son passed away from whooping cough in 2014 so yeah its a must have for me x
@bump_robin, I only had mine at 35 weeks. Neither my midwife or the nurse who did it seemed overly concerned that I was past the 32 weeks. Get it booked asap xx
Oh right ok thank you ! I just looked on the nhs website and it says the cut off is 32 weeks ! X
@bump_robin, had mine tues. it protects the baby until they have theirs at 8 weeks. they are giving them due to a rise in cases ova the last few years since some parents were boycotting immunisations for fear of them causing autism. all cuz some silly person did a study on about 20 kids! x
@jod1303, This made me well up :-( I totally understand why it's a sore subject. I bloody well hope justice is done i really do Mwah xxxx 😘
