HELP PLEASE
Had a c section and my milk finally coming in at day 4. My boobs tripled in size and are so heavy that it hurts just lifting them. Can't even latch my son on without help from my husband which when he goes to work I'll be screwed because my boob is that huge and my son won't latch on anyways. The whole pumping every 2 hours is interfering w my rest because I only get to sleep when he does but then I needa pump.. And it hurts my incision scar so much! I can't do this anymore and my son use to formula...
Also feels like my boobs have like clumps in them ughh
My main question is when will the milk go away from my boobs.... And will my boobs go back down in size ? They tripled in size and I can't even see my nipples anymore that's how big and saggy they got

The same thing happened to me!! I have really small boobs lol so after I had my baby they were HUGE!! What really helped was the pumping.. It hurt but they felt so much better and less heavy afterwards. Also, try to take a hot bath before pumping.. It usually helps for the milk to come out. I believe my boobs went down after 2-3 weeks but because I stopped pumping.

It will probably take a few days and it'll get worse before it gets better but once it dries up your breasts should go back to normal size and the pain will go away. The pain is horrible I know! almost as bad as labor pain in my opinion! I used bags of frozen peas on them while they were drying up and I've heard a lot of ppl suggest cold cabbage leaves to speed it up!

I've nursed 4 babies and the engorgement is worse each time. I have a blog and wrote about what I use to help.
I'm sorry you are going through this. it truly is horrible but if you can stick with it it gets better. The first 6 weeks are the worst. Here's my post if you want to check it out: http://thriftyniftymommy.com/2016/02/how-i-deal-with-severe-breast-engorgement.html
