do you formula feed? it could be that too. my son used to be constipated until we switched his milk.

My son had the same! You can try about an ounce of warm water, infant enigmas worked best for us and was recommended by his dr. Warm baths while massaging his belly and bicycling his legs helped him too. Good luck mommy. I know it's rough :(

@kellynicole, @aidensmommy I'm using formula. She don't seem right and my gut says its constipation. I'm using Similac for supplementation the powder version.

@sonya15, oh ok I'll try the water and massaging her belly. Thank you for the tip! I just feel so bad for her, I want her to feel better and I have no idea what I can do since she can't take gripe water yet :(

I knew u we're going to say you're using similac. So my daughter is 7 weeks old now but about 3 weeks ago I switched from Enfamil to similac because it was non gmo and I wanted to try it. Girl I was almost in tears because it hurt her so much to go. She would cry. There's two things I did. I went back to Enfamil but got the purple colored box that eases gas. I also make sure I shake the bottle up real good to make sure there are no clumps. Once I did that she was back to mushy bowel movements and no tears. It took a day maybe two.

It is horrible! My son would be so constipated that his little bottom would bleed when he did have his bowel movement. Unfortunately he is just now having semi regular size bowel movements that's aren't hard like clay now that he can drink a little but of prune juice every other day. Keep in mind if you didn't already know it's normal for them not to go but every 2-3 days as crazy as that sounds! You can Inbox me if you ever have more questions! I feel like a poo pro lol!

my son was the same and his pediatrician told me to give him an ounce of water mixed with a half teaspoon of sugar and a little Vaseline on his little but hole to help it come out. It worked with in 30 minutes.

@gcpaschal, aww poor thing :( when I first introduced formula it was the liquid version of the same thing then we did powder a couple days after. She was fine and we've been doing it for the past several days now! Since yesterday she's had that ball of clay like poo and I never checked if it was soft or hard. I'll call my pediatrician tomorrow morning and see what they may recommend doing. It could be the formula catching up on her /:

my son was maybe a few days older then yours and he drank it just fine. Just warm it up a little. You can also try to move his legs around in a bicycle motion it helps to get things moving around@sweetpea_nut
