@sadiej, I'm having a repeat csection and mine is scheduled for 38 1/2 weeks but I'm high risk because of the GD and because of high blood pressure and on top of that baby girl is measuring really big lol but not due to the GD.

@sadiej, I wasnt told that. But it could be your body. And the nst is just monitoring babys movement heart rate ect. It's not that bad. I do them twice a week it only lasts about 20mins. It's not to bad. I had my last growth scan yesterday an she was roughly 7.5lbs. I'm hoping she isn't bigger than 8lbs lol.

Yes they start at I think 32-33 weeks just to be on the safe side, I had my first one last week and the doctor showed no concerns going in for my 2nd one this Friday.

@sadiej, yeah I really don't want one either, I'm going this week for my nst and on the 24th for my I'm hoping last growth scan, as of 2 weeks ago no c section but I know they tend to chunk up in the last weeks I will be 35 weeks this weekend so we shall see

I found out I had it about 2 months ago, my numbers were still pretty high with just changing my diet so I started taking meds, one pill before dinner. 2 weeks ago she increases the dose. It's still a really low dose and I am seeing a dietician , growth scan my regular doctor and a doctor at the grown scan building. I felt horrible and useless for a few weeks, but with time, support and really trying to eat heathy & in moderation it has helped me. I am now getting NST weekly to track her movements and see if I'm having contractions, I think I remember my doctor mentioning inducing at 38-39 weeks as well, but as long as the baby does not get too big there is no c section or high risks. I am so over the pricking my finger multiple times a day but soon it will be over, as long as you are trying that's al you can do. Accept it and try to be positive and track what you eat to see what triggers numbers. I was going insane because when I would eat "healthy" it would be high but with a small cheat snack it would be just fine! 😾 the dietician stated everyone is different so you just have to see what your body can work with.

@sadiej, really.? I'll be 40 weeks an 3 days at my induction. He wanted to stay as hands off. But doesn't want me to go to far past it so I'll be induced Tuesday. If you have any kinds of questions feel free to message me 😊

@sadiej, I was sad about it to. But my lady said you can still eat what you want just not as much an if you are active like walking it helps keep the levels down. I'm on insulin cause I can really walk due to pain. But you can still have sugar ect. An no my dr said as long as your levels are good there isn't a need to induce me before, an as long as baby is good. I'll be induced Tuesday but that's only cause I have slightly low fluid an he doesn't want baby to get too big an doesn't want me to go to far past my due date.

@sadiej, it's really not that bad. It's not the end of the world and it doesn't mean anything will be wrong with baby. Just have to watch what you eat a little more closely.

@beaniebeanjd, actually you can have carbs an sugar. Just have to watch the carb intake.

I have it. It's not to bad. I still eat what I want just can't have as much sweets as I want.

I just found out I had it last week..I'm meeting with a nutritionist tomorrow..basically we check out sugar daily to keep and eye on it and we,need to just change,our diets, no sugar, no carbs. sucks but most of the time ot,goes away when you deliver:) stay positive! @sadiej

@sadiej, I found out i have gestational diabetes at 10 weeks when I failed the 3 hour test. I'm now 35 weeks . I checked my glucose levels 4 times a day and now I'm at 2 times a day because my GD was controlled with diet. I never have high numbers and im not on any meds.
