I'm quite aware that I'm starting motherhood later in life. While I'm glad I waited on a lot of levels I get frustrated that my age is brought up more than necessary when I go to appts. The tech for the EKG today was nice but was like, "oh, your pregnancy must be SO hard because of your age!" And, "Wow, your first, wow!" As well as three other times my age was mentioned. I know I'm over 35 and I know there are risks associated with starting later but for reals lady can we focus on the baby and not my age please? Grr.

I am 35 but I haven't had anyone say a word about age! I look at it as a positive because of the all the extra testing we get. It's nice knowing at 12 weeks of the baby has chromosomal problems or not! Those people suck.

Just wait until you get the "so when are you having another?" I'm 33 and done...and I get shamed for it daily.
