@arivera64, that's a good idea @babes101116 yeah I could start slow with the first week lol and @surprise4 thanks for pointing out the blessing I guess I was feeling guilty but it seems I'm not the only mom ever to do this ! and that makes me feel so much better ladies thanks again for your input!

That is definitely a blessing to have her offer, with my second and third it was especially necessary to have family take care of my older kids not only while I recovered from my c section, but just to get used to having a new baby.

It depends on how you feel. If you feel like you can handle everyone after a week, take them back. If not, no shame in letting them stay another week.

Totally up to you. Maybe a week and then she can come to the house and help the second week?

I'm having a cesarean as well and getting tubes tied so Dr said I'm going be more than sore for a couple weeks with two major stomach surgeries do you ladies think two weeks is to long maybe I should only let them stay for a week? its nothing against my mom she's great and loves the kids to death and she is just trying to help as much as can even though she lives two hours away ! I just am freaking out ! lol

Do it. You need that time. My mother in law took my oldest for a few days when my second was born especially because of my cesarean. And when the 3rd was born, she took the older 2. Lol When i have this one, she'll take all 3!
