Today i had my 38 weeks apoitment with midwife and she said that next time when we will see each other it will be my due date (11.6) and so she want i think about membrane sweep and she also said that its all up to me but idk ..do you have any experience with sweep? i listen about it first time today...

I've had them before hun, I did it twice with my last baby. The first time was on her due date and the contractions started but then they stopped and the second time was 4 days later. That time it worked for me and the contractions started straight away and got stronger and stronger, I had it done at about 5pm and she was born at 1.20am the following morning ...hope that helps xx
I think I've decided to let my doc sweep my membranes today. So my son will be here today!
Contraction questions I had a membrane sweep today. Before the sweep I was 3-4 dilated & 75% effaced.
So I talked with my dr today and she said they don't do 3rd trimester ultrasounds.. How do they know what position the baby is in then ?
Any 1st time moms who had a c-section? My due date is Wednesday. At my Dr appt today, my Dr said I'm not dilated at all. My baby has been measuring big all along, and my Dr now estimates he is about 9.5lbs and doesn't think I can deliver him naturally... so she scheduled me for a c-section on Thursday. This is my 1st baby, and I really don't know how to feel about it all.
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her own when she is ready to come ! As much as I am anxious to meet her and have her home with me, those last few weeks of brain development and lung maturation means so much more to me! I'm hoping and praying that things turn around, and I don't have to get induced. I'm surely going to talk to my doctor about it Thursday when I go back.
