Yesterday at my OB appointment the doctor said he doesn't want me to go past June 14th but he will definitely induce June 21st because of the IUD still being in place. I signed up for 40 weeks. I am prepared to go to 42. I don't want to be induced. I want my little man to come when he is ready. 😭😭😭 Sadly if I don't convince him to come out they are going to force him out. I just feel it's too early to try anything. I'm only 36 weeks. I hate this!
Lol the doctor said if I would have went another month he would have been close to twelve pounds. I was like "thank goodness for small miracles!"
Oh wow, that sounds pretty scary. Sucks you can't get your way but I guess the benefits might outweigh the risks. Side note, and 8lb 6oz preemie??!! I can't believe that lol
@bianca_rose, if the IUD is not imbedded like they think then it might puncture the sack or migrate up causing the placenta to rip off the uterine wall. The danger level to the baby increases once I hit 38 weeks. I grow big babies. My smallest one was 8 pounds 3.5 ounces and biggest was 10 pounds 9 ounces. I had a premie born just over a month early and he was 8 pounds 6 ounces. As my pregnancy progresses they are worried he is going to get too big and the IUD could become an issue.
@number321, it's too close to the baby. With it being so close in the beginning (well 16 weeks when I found out) they didn't want to risk rupturing the sack. I didn't want more kids (and this might sound horrible) but I was like "rip it out. If the baby dies it wasn't meant to be. I'd it survives then it's meant to be." No doctor wanted to remove it and have the babies death on their hands. Yesterday the doctor reviewed all of my ultrasounds (one every two weeks) and said he thinks it's stuck in the muscle and that's how I got pregnant. He scheduled outpatient surgery to have it removed on July 5th which is two weeks after he is planning on inducing me.
What's the danger of waiting to go full term? Because if it doesn't seem to be necessary I'd refuse
Omg!! Lol
