ok i was just talking to one of my mommie friends who is studing to be like a mid wife i guess. she is well experienced with having kids. She has 9 and she told me when baby comes out at birth dont let them cut the umbilical cord until it stops pulsing and to not let them take her a bath until 24 hours because the stuff on her skin is good for them. Ok iam just wondering if any one has heard this or done this
my son was born at 24 weeks and my Dr didnt cut the corn for a couple of min after he was out he was breathing that why she didn't cut it right away she said if he was breath or if he was limp she would of cut it right away and handed him for he team
yea she's going for being a doula. shes trying to teach me how to breast and even when baby Comes. honestly i was shocked to hear this. But i told her iam was up to finding info on this @cubanese
I did that with my first child. She didn't get a bath either. She had her first sponge bath at a week and a half I believe and her first real bath in a tub after her cord fell off.
yes she told me that. i was like no way. this is my 5th child and i have never heard this
I actually read about this AFTER I had my baby and wish I would have saw it sooner. But they say not to cut it right away because there's still blood flowing into the baby, correct?
Yes you should wait to clamp the cord. When you clamp it immediately they lose a lot of benefits from cord blood.
