I have to keep reminding myself that my daughter was a preemie (born @ 31wks) and it's okay that she isn't fast as other babies with somethings. But y'all, it still makes me sad as a mother seeing babies born after her, accomplish things before her. She tries so hard and that makes me love her even harder and more than I already do.
same here my son was born at 24 weeks he will be 9 months tomorrow and he can't push up on his arms during tummy time he isn't rolling over or anything it's sad
@rockysmommy yes, I was just about to suggest that. even just a little breast milk is better than none at all.
I've tried oatmeal and I'm pumping every three hours or so again.. I'm also supplementing half the bottle with enfamil to not use the breastmilk so quickly
@rockysmommy yeah, that became frustrating for me. have you tried any lactation pills or cookies?
They just told me I'd have to pump and bottle feed him and that's very stressful I'm currently dealing with supply drop right now :( I'm gonna look on this website
@rockysmommy I had to stop breastfeeding because my daughter wouldn't latch. The hospital referred her to a program for preemie babies which is good because I wouldn't know half of what I know about her reaching milestones a little later than other babies. I was just looking on this website ссылка
Yeah you have to go more by their gestational age and then corrected age and it makes me sad because my little man was born at 34 weeks and 5 days and can't even latch onto my boob.. He's three weeks old now and he's already trying to hold his head and he looks around and moved his head all around and he's constantly active, but I don't know when babies usually do things I don't know when they meet milestones and when my preemie will meet them. My doctor said he'll probably be a slower learner than full term babies born around the same time as him.
@chunkymonkey9115 yes, I cry sometimes about it. like, I just seen a baby born a month after my daughter and she's sitting up. my baby will be six months next week and just learned how to roll over. it takes a lot of practicing.
