I've been with my husband for 8 years too!! Only married for 1 though. I totally get it my man can be a doh-doh head too sometimes that's why I'm always 100% with him and communicate my feelings no matter what and after I do it has a good outcome. I feel better and he makes up for whatever the mistake was. And vice versa with me although I'm rarely the one having to apologize lol! We recently moved also we both grew up in so cal and moved to Oregon a year ago with neither of us knowing anyone out here. We went through some drama a while back last year but we just kept talking things out and things got so much better! I'm glad you had a good time with your girls sounds like you managed to make it a good day considering. Oh and you definitely should try macarons they are absolutely delicious! Definitely my favorite cookies of all time!

I'm going to let midnight hit and if he doesn't say anything or atleast mention it on FB or something I will be talking to him for sure. We are going on 8 years now so I know how that conversation will go. He used to be amazing at these kind of things. But since we moved all the way out here he has really surprised me with his actions. I just don't get it. Oh well. Men will be men! And me and my girls had lunch today and I went and got about 20 bucks in fabric for little man coming so it wasn't as bad as it could have been' I'm just grateful to see another year :) thanks again!

Awww I totally get that but you should try and splurge a little on yourself! You know you totally deserve it! Yeah I would be bummed if my husband acted like that on my bday lol I agree bdays are special no matter how old your turning I think. My husband knows he better get me some flowers or macarons on my bday! (Damn now I want some macarons lol) But yes a simple compliment from him probably would have gone a long way for you today I'm sorry he didn't acknowledge it. I don't know how open you guys are but you should let him know how you feel. Communication always is the key!! That way he knows your feelings were hurt ya know. Let him know just because most men don't care about their birthdays that it does mean something to you and that your looking for a little something more than a text. I bet next years bday will be different. I hope you managed to salvage your day and make it the best one you could! Once again Happy Birthday!! 🎉

@kaseylyn, glad to know someone else feels like a birthday is a special day! I swear I didn't care to be spoiled or anything. I just really was hoping for a ego boost! Aging another year.... 40 lbs heavier than I was 7 months ago.... Moved 28 hrs away from all friends and family to be here with him.... I just couldn't and still can't believe after wearing a nice dress and heels I didn't even get so much as a compliment.... Guess that's what I get for expecting my husband to be attracted to me. I mean when he is horny he damn sure knows how to show it. Lol...... Men! Oh and yes a mani or pedi would be amazingggggg! But I'm a stay at home mom and haven't even gotten a trim in over a year so I dare not spend that money on myself.

Aww this made me a little sad! I don't think your over reacting at all! No fair your hubby didn't spoil you on your bday! Especially while being pregnant!! You deserve flowers at the least and some extra attention for sure! Im sorry your husband is acting selfishly that totally sucks. I guess all you can do is try and make the best of it! Maybe go and pamper yourself tomorrow with a mani/pedi or go buy yourself a little something. Try to cheer up! Maybe take a nice relaxing bath tonight! Happy Birthday!
