Doctor said If he don't come on my due date they'll schedule me to get induced.... What's the process mommies ?!?

you know what it might be different for scheduled inductions because mine wasn't. my baby heart beat was low so they sent me over to labor and delivery to get monitored and his heart rate was still fluctuating so they induced me

with my first born, my due date was may 2. he decided he wasn't gonna make his entrance then. most babies are not born on their due date. went to my doctor and she said if baby was not here by the 6 then I would be induced. little did I know then that induction is no fun and that I had the option to not show up. I arrived at the hospital on the 6th of May at midnight, but really it was the 7th. nurses put the regular iv to keep me hydrated and then surprise surprise I had contractions. no need for pitocin or any medicaTion. my little guy made his entrance on his own time.

with me it was a lil different they started me on pitocin for a couple hours just to see if my babys heartbeat wouldn't drop after that they started by giving me a pill every 4 hours theyd come in n check my cervix to see if it was working, then 2 days later it wasnt so they put me on cervidil i think its call they insert something in ur cervix n leave it for 12 hours then they take it out nothing workes with me n i ended up with a csection

I was in so much pain going thru all that but once I had the epidural everything was fine. I was admitted like around 4/5p and I had him the next day at 10:56a. The epidural was a lifesaver cause those contractions honey.... the worst!

if you get an epidural they'll put a catheter in you so you don't have to get up to pee

they'll break your water, insert a Foley bulb *optional*, start you on pitocin and I think that's it...
