I've been skating for seventeen years. Literally every single day. In the rain, sun, clouds and even snowing blizzards. It didn't matter if it was below freezing or above one hundred degrees outside. I left our vehicle parked and still chose to skate. Miles, across our entire city. Uphill and downhill. Reaching speeds of 45 miles an hour. I've been bruised, cut, damaged, broken and hit by multiple vehicles. Broken bones and aches are my norm. Two years ago I was hit by a truck and left for dead in the road. I have a heart condition and a TBI luckily with no skull breakage. And I was told I was unable to have children. I had to relearn in rehab how to walk, speak, write and so much more. There's still a lot I haven't relearned yet. Though, I was told I would never walk again. Three months after my accident I was back on my skateboard, living and loving life completely. I was blessed to have a wonderful man by my side that supported me through it all. And now we are 6 months (27 weeks) into our wonderful journey of pregnancy. Soon we'll happily welcome our beautiful baby boy into our lives. As soon as I heal, I will be back on my skateboard enjoying every minute of it. I can't wait till our little man can skate and we can give him his very first skateboard. Soon it will be his momma, daddy and best friend puppy all skating together with him. This moment couldn't come soon enough! We are truly blessed and extremely excited for all these beautiful moments to happen.
