anyone else feel really let down by their midwife care? im 40+4 now and just feel really disappointed in the whole community midwife experience. I've probably seen 5 or 6 different midwives since the beginning, despite being assigned the one, but she's either on holiday or doesn't answer her phone. There has been a few times I've wanted answers or advice quite urgently and rang her and all the other numbers in my notes to not get through, or even a call back the next day! I have had 5 different women measure my bump, and feel my growth chart is completely inconsistent because of it. It doesn't feel personal, and I'm just another pregnant lady. But mostly I feel let down as my last appointment was 38+2 and I am not booked for a sweep (with someone completely new to me) until I'm 41 weeks. Just feel really detached from the whole thing, sorry for the rant. Xx
It's definitely got worse all my appointment were at home before but I've not had 1 home visit this time. 7lbs at 35 weeks is a good size lol they get it wrong all the bloody time thou so I'm sure u will be fine 😀😀
wow, congrats. Has it gotten worse over time then? my 2nd time of being measured showed I was 5 weeks ahead, and it's been so inconsistent since then. when I was measured at 38 weeks by a student it showed I hadn't grown for 2 weeks, which I know was wrong but just felt like my midwife didn't check on it, or even query it. Also no one seems to be bothered that estimated weight at 35 weeks was 7lb, I'm overdue now and am dreading a 10lb baby!
This is baby number 5 for me my youngest is 8 in shocked at the difference in care this time I am also measuring different constantly because of the different midwives xx
@lou1 exactly! when I have had appointments at home, she has answered her personal phone and text etc, how rude. Just thought it would be better and more personal y'know.
Totally feel the same my last midwife appointment the midwife (I'd never seen before) text her mum halfway thru my appointment my care has been crap xx
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

Y’all please please be careful and monitor what these babies are watching on YouTube thank god my baby didn’t understand what the thing was saying he showed me the phone and said “scary mama” I think continued to listen to what the thing was saying and I was livid and horrified it was explaining to my son how to kill the whole family while everyone was asleep
I've only had 2 at home, which is quite inconvenient really as it got really difficult to drive after 30 weeks! haha, just worried for a first pregnancy, don't know how she's coming out my fufu!
