I only experienced pain during- it was uncomfortable. But not after. You should be ok 👍🏽

it depends on how far you live from your appointment because when they did mine I started to contract 20 mins later and I had to go right back to er my son was here 4 hours later but my sister's was done 2 days after and nothing happened at all so I guess it just depends on the person

it's not painful till after when u start to contract. when I had mine done with my first child. my contractions didn't start for like 10 to 15 mins after but got more painful as the day went on.

So if I do a membrane sweep I should stay in the area of the hospital? I live about an hour and 20 mins away from where I plan to deliver. @lyds @moispregnant197 @aubrod

no I wouldn't say that only because u don't really know if u will go into labor right away. ur contractions have to be with in 4 to 5 mins apart or sooner to go in. and even then it doesn't mean ur gonna dilate to what they want u to be to check u in. it all really depends on ur body and when it's ready. if u have a friend or family member u can stay with that lives close then u I would do that just in case. but if not then i don't see why u couldn't go home to be where u feel comfortable. either way baby is gonna come when it's ready

definitely just to see what happened because if your sweep is anything like mine hopefully today is the day but you could also be like my sister and nothing but you being 40 weeks + yea I'd wait around just in case

I did mine in the morning and started labor that night- but everyone is different! When they sweep they should tell you how far dilated you are and stuff. Praying for you! Your gonna do great!
