Try and use his crib for naps during the day. Then slowly put him in his crib for bed. Its what I did with my daughter. At first she'd sleep in her crib at night for only a few hours so I'd bring her to our bed in the middle of the night. Every night I'd leave her in her bed longer and longer at night until she was ok. Took less than a wewk to get her use to her crib.

@babynessa, thank you!!!! And I think that's how this all got started is he would sleep in his rock n play or swing and then in the middle of the night half asleep me would let him in our bed. Ugh. I would LOVE to co sleep but don't want to take the risk.

My son is the same way! I've noticed that if I lay him in his crib while he's half asleep he will just lay there till he falls asleep. Its been working except I usually bring him into my bed at like 5am 😂

I put my son in his crib at about 5 weeks old so he doesn't really know different but when he went through his 4 Month sleep regression he wouldn't sleep for more than 45 min at a clip and would pretty much scream the second I put him down. I started bringing him into bed and my hubby was like gonna make bad habits, Long story short, I started to lay in the crib with him until he fell asleep! It was cramped and obviously I didn't sleep but it worked.

I thought I would too.. But luckily I didn't! I tried getting into it during the day without baby. His crib does convert to a toddler bed and then a full bed so I assumed it was sturdy enough. Desperate times call for desperate measures!
