@stefaniamarie, we see her doctor tomorrow afternoon! I called and talked to him about it on Sunday but he recommended me air dry her bottom and stop using wipes and to treat it with a cream. But sadly I only breastfed for about 2 weeks and she wouldn't latch anymore so I dried up :/
@jnanzer94, what did the doctor say? My son had a rash that lasted like that! It was horrible, my doctor said it was thrush, he had to be treated orally, and with nystatin cream, and I also had to treat my nipples. cleared it right up!
@jnanzer94, I don't know if you breastfeed. I belong to a lot of breastfeeding groups and a lot of the moms use breast milk! So the first rash my poor baby had Id literally squirt breast milk on it and it cleared up the next day! It has lots of antibodies and immunities in it that soothe and heal. Some of the moms also mix it with coconut oil...
@riley0930, that's why I quit the wipes to see if that was the problem but looks to be the diapers :/ I plan to make my own wipes actually I found a few recipes on how too!
@babyjjsmommy, I'm kind of afraid to try Huggies only because of the things I've seen and read I only tried pampers because that's what they use in the hospital. Bad idea on my part. And @rachel8792 that's what I did today was clean it and I try to air it out but she hates being naked so she ends up crying and peeing or pooping all over the place lol
If the tushy is burnt up when you clean it, air it out every chance u can, and wash with water and a mild baby soap until it clears up. Baby aquafor is a lifesaver too
I know a couple people who use coconut oil instead of creams like the destin and ointments and it seems to work much better. Have you tried huggies yet?
Then its most likely the chemicals in the diapers. Try honest diapers or seventh generation diaper that are bleach free
That will help, if it doesnt you may need to use cloth diapers
Like her butts red and since I used wipes still for like a day before I talked to her doctor and found out it peeled away the skin the skin is peeled away. :/ so now when I wipe her butt even with soft clothe she cries from it hurting her. I used A&D ointment and destin and so far there's no clearing up even after stopping the wipes so it's gotta be the diapers :/
@stefaniamarie, I'm thinking of switching back to the target because when I used them they didn't cause any problems at all. But I don't think I used them long enough to cause any problems.
@graciesmama, I used the wipes but I haven't tried the diapers. @rachel8792 its chemical burn and diaper rashes constantly. I have stopped using wipes on her because using wipes on her little red butt causes the skin to peel away so I use soft clothes and water to clean her butt up. I plan to make my own baby wipes.@emiliasmommy15
Whats the problem? chemical burns? or leaks? I ask because if its burns or leaving the baby with a rash, then you may want to look at whats in the diapers, but if its leaks then you can switch to a no name like target brand
I've read quite a few good reviews on target brands, I actually used them for about a week then ran out and had some luvs that were bought for us by family members so I started using the luvs @eskawho @babes101116
