You do not have to supplement anything, the baby will be fine on your body's supply... You produce colostrum for the first day or so then your milk comes in after that... There will be lactation consultants at the hospital that can help you also. I will not be giving my son any formula unless I physically can't due to a medical emergency.

My daughter was born at 25 weeks. Before she was born I hadn't leaked a single bit and hadn't even felt my breast get full like my milk had come in. I pumped four hours after my c section and I got 3oz! it is not very often you don't supply what baby needs when they are born... But they will supplement if for some reason you don't. @newmommy_2016

I haven't leaked either and I'm 34 weeks

milk comes 3 days after you deliver.... trust me you will have a supply like a cow lol

I don't want to sound like a Debbie downer but it's not the same for every one, mine came in a week before I had her and I never produced more than an ounce at time out of combined breast pumping and trying to breast feed so I had to use formula and the hospital started her on formula because they didn't want me to try breastfeeding until they figured out why we both had fevers, so I think that really messed up our experience but she's been formula fed since and is perfectly fine but I hope your outcome is better but it's okay to formula feed as well
