When and why do they induce you if it's before 40 weeks? Is it a choice or medical issue?

I was induced right at 37 weeks because there was a cyst on babies umbilical cord and it was restricting bloodflow.

medical, I was 37 weeks had preeclampsia

only medical reasons.

I'm being induced but at 39 weeks due to my high blood pressure

My dr is inducing me at 39 weeks. It's not medically necessary

my Dr will normally induce at 39 weeks without medical reason if you ask... but if it's before 39 weeks it has to be medically necessary.
