Well yes take him to the dermatologist instead then. If it anything it is too strong and they will give you something for babies.

I also have eczema so I thought that could be it... i think the hydrocortisone had something to do with the peeling and the skin change because before I started using it, his skin was fine just had a rash... hydrocortisone is also a steroid and could be too strong for him... I've used it on myself. I just wish I knew exactly what it was my pediatrician was no help @shan548

I have had this all my life. My was eczema. I have a creme they make me put on because mine is a seasonal thing mostly winters and summers. My family thought it was acid but when I was in Elementary they finally took me to a dermatologist and found out what it truly was. My skin color comes back after using the cream for a while so try a dermatologist because my pediatrician couldn't tell us what it was just kept sending us in circles. You can't tell anymore after I use the cream and it works miracles. I don't wear make up so I was happy it clears up eventually.

Yes my son has the same thing on his left cheek and after i wash his face i put just a little bit of Vaseline and i notice a difference.

Try washing his face and put a little vaseline on those spots. should start to clear up
