What a fucking fail. They scheduled me an hr before closing for a 3hr glucose screening. So I wasn't able to do it yet again smfh I give up. Anyone know the consequences of going un treated/diagnosed for GD if I was to be have it ?

My grandmother went untreated with my mother and is now 77 years old still with diabetes. Reschedule!
Yeah I would rather know if I have it what I should be doing and such but this is literally the 3rd time and I have to go back Again when I really don't have 3hrs to spend doing it I have bills and a job but at the same time my baby is what comes first so I know I need to handle it and get it figured it's just reaaaallly annoying @eskawho
you could have a bigger baby but to me that's not the worry, I'm diabetic and was told if uncontrolled it could cause complications for the baby. if you have it and is not treated your body has a hormone that blocks insulin that we make however baby makes more insulin to compensate the extra sugars in the blood that baby is getting from you. at birth, baby will continue to produce the high insulin amount but suddenly without that supply of sugar from you causing blood sugar levels to drop which can cause problems for the baby including seizures. I would get rescheduled.
